Beginning the Learning Situation

We collectively decided to utilise previous lessons that had been implemented by one of the group members with a Primary ¾ class. Their layout followed the guidelines of the Scottish Education systems due to its concise and clear nature. This would provide strong foundations for us to evaluate the lesson’s success based on experience and adapt it accordingly with the support of IT to optimise learning.

Unaltered Lesson Plan

We reflected on the success we had implementing the lesson on our school teaching experience and used this as a fuel to generate ideas for how to change it.

Upon reflection, we concluded that in order to improve the learning experience, it had to be more stimulating and engaging and that this could be achieved by using a variety of different technological resources.

Therefore, we collated a bank of technological platforms that we had experience of using-whether it was within this class, at home or in previous academic environments.

We plan to evaluate these and consider their use within the lesson.
